We have focused our business very tightly on the small-business BusinessVision user for many years, so really, there aren't that many awards that we're in line for. We're not trying to be the big sellers in any of the product lines we support, just the people that support these products well, so that our clients prosper.
Having said that, we are pleased that we have been recognized a couple of times by the folks at BusinessVision (when it was an independent company, and when it was owned by Softline, which was before Sage bought it) for achievements above and beyond.
They call these awards "Visionary Awards", as they recognize solutions that exceed the built-in capabilities of off-the-shelf systems.
This Visionary Award was presented by BusinessVision president Murray Aston at the 2003 Business Partners' conference, for
designing and developing a custom web-reporting solution which publishes selected BusinessVision data
to a secured web site accessible by the client's staff, outside sales reps, and selected customers.
Essentially, this was a modest-scale data warehouse. Each audience has secure access to only the data, reports and functions they require, with the benefit of vastly improved customer service, with significantly lower cost.
Awarded for developing a laser forms-printing solution that allowed users of the then-current DOS software to print professional, cost-effective business forms straight from BusinessVision to the user's laser printer.
Sadly, no-one took any pictures of this one, but we'll concede Charles did look a little younger then!
